


Cristina Morrison is an actress, singer-songwriter & producer. Cristina was born in Miami and has lived between Quito, Miami, Los Angeles, Rome, the Galapagos Islands and currently lives in New York. She’s a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In the mid 90’s she founded and held post as Executive Director of a 110 seat house, El Socavon de Guápulo Theatre Foundation in Quito, Ecuador.
Cristina’s second album, BARONESA, under the New York jazz label Jazzheads, is a double NOMINEE of the 15th Independent Music Awards for BEST VOCAL JAZZ ALBUM and BEST VOCAL JAZZ SONG. This record is an eclectic cross genre world jazz album in several languages. Lyrics are written by her and the music composed by Misha Piatigorsky. In her staging she incorporates theatrical elements and visual arts by Laia Cabrera & Isabelle Duverget. Part of her album sales support ARTEDUCARTE, an educational program through the arts in the public schools of Isabela Island in the Galapagos. Morrison has performed at festivals such as Java Jazz in Indonesia, Ecuador Jazz and SXSW. Cristina is currently working on her third album production, IMPREDECIBLE, which is due to release soon. This record is an all women duet production with modern world/latin jazz arrangements of classic songs from the Latin American Songbook.
